Some people asked me how I replaced my eye with a hole in this photo, so I figured I’d just share it here!
As you can see in the picture, the hole in my face was originally just a hole I punched into a piece of cardboard using a pair of scissors, with some blood painted onto it to make the editing process a little easier. I then pasted it over the picture of my face, resized and reshaped it a bit, and set it to the blending mode “multiply”, which made the white cardboard disappear. Of course, just sticking an image onto your face is not enough to make it look realistic, so to make it look like the hole was actually IN my face, rather than on top of it, I took the original picture, erased everything but the countours of the eye, and then reshaped those to become the countours of the hole. That way, the hole actually got a bit of depth and seemed to fit more realistically.
The blood is simply watercolour paint with a looooot of water, by the way! I prefer using syrup + food colouring, but I didn’t have that with me sooo paint was a good substitute, I guess
